Who am I? Am I what I do? Am I who people say I am? Or Am I who my family say I Am?16 years old, lost and confused. Waves swept me from my feet into the ocean. Tossed back and forth by the waves and wind.

Lost at sea, in the middle of nowhere, people pulling me in all direction. Many voices called my Name through the storm, so I swam in circles going nowhere. Putting on the Identities which people gave me but none of them fit or was just right.

I finally stopped swimming, tired and hopeless I was. Every night I closed my eyes hopeless, empty and worn out. Months passed than years I was drowning sinking under the weight of life. Into the water I went slowly. But before I was under I saw something.

There was a man who came to me in the ocean. He walked on the water, His voice was like a roaring lion, He calmed the hash storm I was in with a word, He then pulled me out of the water, saving my life.

The man took my hand and called me son. His Love and warmth was all around me, He guided me to safety. In Him I found myself, my identity. Which is child of God, friend of God and beloved one of God.

In the waves of life I was lost, pulled in all direction by everyone, but one voice was louder, one person came looking. My father came down and found me, in the mist of my worst point, saved and adopted into His family. No greater Love is there then this.

1 John 3:1

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God…

Colossians 1:13

13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
