You may know his name.
His body was brutalized and left for dead.
His hand were nailed on the cross.
His feet bind together and nailed.
The anguish he felt as his flesh
Was torn apart from his body.
He paid the highest price, of all.
For only He could satisfy the law.
The law stood against God
It was met for good and for
The betterment of all.
But it to imprison us.
To death and sin, for we could
Not pay the price it demand.
For we fall short.
Never seeming able to do enough
After the cross He rose
Back to life by His Spirit
He told me that He also gave
You this Spirit, whom broke
the hold of death.
Liberated and set free and set apart
My flesh a living sacrifice
My spirit revived within
Death no longer reigns in me.
Only Peace and life.
