signs and wonder vs Gods word

John 4:47-53
47 When this man heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from Judea, he went to him and begged him to come and heal his son, who was close to death.
48 “Unless you people see signs and wonders,”Jesus told him, “you will never believe.”
49 The royal official said, “Sir, come down before my child dies.”
50 “Go,” Jesus replied, “your son will live.”The man took Jesus at his word and departed.
51 While he was still on the way, his servants met him with the news that his boy was living.
52 When he inquired as to the time when his son got better, they said to him, “Yesterday, at one in the afternoon, the fever left him.”
53 Then the father realized that this was the exact time at which Jesus had said to him, “Your son will live.” So he and his whole household believed.
I love this story, I just released that we sometimes pray prayers that are already answered. We argue with God and beg Him for something. The hard part that is difficult is we fail to believe in the absence of sign and wonders. We become people who want to witness the miracle take place in front of our eyes. We need to know that God is faithful and believe that, lets move from seeing is believing to believing is seeing. Relationship with God is the thing that is most precious in the world. The more we know Him the more we believe in his promises. lets not depend on signs or the works of Gods hands, but God Himself. The man in this story eventually gave in to God and believed Him, that his son was healed. And Jesus did not have to go all the way to this royal officials house to heal his Son. Gods word went forth and did what it was suppose to do when He said “your son lives”
